We all know how important those first few months of bonding are with your new puppy and setting the ground rules and expectations particularly with socialisation are best done in those first few weeks.
Training Options and Costs
Puppy pre-school $135, this is a 4-week course aimed at pups younger than 14 weeks old. This is an important time in a young pups life where they will learn to accept themselves as a dog and learn that our world is full of wonderfully different things to see and experience. By enrolling in this course you have ensured your pup the best start in life. We will begin to shape some basic manners for the pups and create an environment where they can feel safe to explore.
Tuesday night 7.15pm to 8.15pm for four weeks
Diploma Course $150, this is a 5-week course that builds on skills learned in puppy pre-school, and will incorporate some life preserving techniques. The diploma course is aimed at basic obedience centred around a basic manners package that I believe all dogs should learn. (Puppy pre-school is advised before this course but not essential)
Wednesday night 7.15pm to 8.15pm for five weeks
If you would like to come please phone 448 2227 or email kath@nosetotail.co.nz for an enrolment form
Introducing Matt of Canine College
My philosophy about dog training is quite simple, the better trained your dog is, the safer they will be and the stronger the bond will become between the two of you
After all… a happy dog equals a happy home!
A decision to train your dog is a decision that says, I am interested in my dog’s destiny, I choose to educate both myself and my dog so that they may live a long, safe and most of all a balanced life.
Here at Canine College, my aim is to educate both owner and dog so that we may better understand each other’s needs. Positive reinforcement methods are only used to ensure no fear is present while training your dog. This in turn, forms the backbone of a trusting bond you will share with your dog forever. I use techniques that are not only easy to understand but allows the dog to meet us half way, as each command is part of the dog’s usual behaviour, therefore making it easy and enjoyable for both of you.
Regardless of where your dog’s level of training is currently at, here at Canine College I have training that will provide new challenges for your dog or techniques to sharpen and fine tune an already learned command.
